VEHICLE HISTORY
The M43 was developed from the modified, widened and lowered chassis of the M15/42, with an Ansaldo 105/25 howitzer installed in a casemate. It entered service in 1943 in a limited number of examples and took part on the Italian front. After the Italian armistice, captured units were used by German troops under the designation StuG M43 mit 105/25.
