Batteries for modelling and projects

This category brings together power options for equipment and projects that require alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries. It includes button-cell, AA, AAA and 9 V formats, along with NiMH and lead-acid batteries. Before replacing a battery, identify the type accepted by the device and check its nominal voltage.

Capacity helps compare alternatives within the same class, but it does not replace a compatibility check. For NiMH batteries, also verify the connector; MiniTamiya may be used, for example. Dimensions are especially important for button-cell formats and lead-acid batteries, as they must fit the available space. Also check the number of units when selecting AA or AAA batteries.
