Vallejo stencils allow defined motifs to be reproduced in a controlled way on model and scene surfaces. They are suitable for applying camouflage patterns, numerals, letters, symbols or graphic details, as well as visual effects such as worn paint, stains and splatters. They can be used with an airbrush or with paint, depending on the finish you want to achieve.
When choosing a stencil, first consider the design and how it relates to the project: there are motifs for vehicles, signs, graffiti, gears, manhole covers and Second World War themes. It is also important to consider the stencil size and the stated scale where applicable, so that the detail is proportionate on vehicles, buildings or dioramas. Working with a light paint load helps keep the edges of the motif clearly defined.
