HISTORY OF THE M47 PATTON
The M47 Patton was developed and distributed to United States armoured units during the first half of the 1950s. Compared with the M46, Italeri highlights its superior protection and the increased firepower provided by the M3 90 mm gun installed in the turret. It also notes its use by numerous NATO armies during the Cold War and its operational deployment in various theatres, including the Middle East and the Indo-Pakistani conflict.
