HISTORY OF THE VEHICLE
The M1 Abrams is a third-generation American main battle tank used by the armoured units of the United States Army and Marine Corps. It entered operational service in the early 1980s as a replacement for the M-60. Italeri highlights its heavy armour, multifuel turbine engine, separate and protected ammunition storage, and the evolution of its main armament from a 105 mm gun to a 120 mm smoothbore gun.
