VEHICLE HISTORY
- The Marder III Sd.Kfz. 138 was developed by the German army using the chassis of the Czechoslovak light tank Panzer 38(t).
- It mounted the 75 mm PaK 40 anti-tank gun in an open-top superstructure protected by sloped plates.
- In the Ausf. H version, the engine was located at the rear and the armament was positioned centrally to increase crew protection.
- Production began in 1942 and it was used on all fronts until the end of the Second World War.
