MODEL HISTORY
The P-47D was a single-seat American low-wing fighter-bomber equipped with a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine producing more than 2,000 HP. Italeri highlights its use as an escort fighter and in ground-support and ground-attack missions, as well as its structural robustness, its eight 12.7 mm Browning M2 machine guns and its ability to carry bombs and rockets. It was used by the United States from 1943 in various theatres of operations.
