HISTORY OF THE MC.200 SAETTA
The Macchi MC.200 was designed by Mario Castoldi and represented an evolution in Italian fighter aviation thanks to its monoplane configuration and fully metal structure. Together with the Fiat G.50, it represented the transition from the Fiat CR.32 and CR.42 biplanes used at the beginning of the Second World War.
