HISTORY OF THE JUNKERS JU 87 STUKA
The Ju 87 made its first flight in 1935 and entered combat in 1936 with the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War. Its inverted gull wings and fixed undercarriage gave it an unmistakable silhouette. During the early stages of the Second World War, it became one of the symbols of German air support for armoured divisions, although during the Battle of Britain it demonstrated its vulnerability against modern fighters such as the Hurricane and Spitfire.
