HISTORY OF THE MACCHI C.200
The Macchi MC 200 was designed by Mario Castoldi and represented an advance over earlier Italian biplane fighters thanks to its monoplane configuration and metal structure. Equipped with a Fiat A.74 RC 38 radial engine, it was used by the Regia Aeronautica on the African, Mediterranean, Balkan and Russian fronts during the Second World War.
