HISTORY OF THE M.T.M. BARCHINO
- The Italian Regia Marina developed surface assault craft and submarines after its operational successes in the First World War.
- The Motoscafo da Turismo Modificato was designed to approach the target rapidly with a lower risk of detection.
- Italeri cites the attack led by Luigi Faggioni against the heavy cruiser HMS York in Suda Bay, Crete, in 1941 as its most successful deployment.
