VEHICLE HISTORY
- Development of the Panzerkampfwagen III began in the mid-1930s to serve as the basis for the Wehrmacht’s armoured units.
- It took part in the Blitzkrieg and the early stages of the Second World War.
- Its various versions evolved from the 37 mm gun to 75 mm armament, and also received armour improvements and additional protection.
- From 1943 onwards, it was gradually replaced by more modern tanks with greater firepower.
