HISTORY OF THE REAL AIRCRAFT
The F-35 Lightning II originated from the Joint Strike Fighter programme to develop a fifth-generation multirole fighter aircraft intended to replace attack aircraft operated by the United States and NATO countries. The F-35A version is designed to operate from conventional runways and carry out air-superiority, close air support and ground-attack missions.
