MODEL HISTORY
The Sikorsky H-19 “Chickasaw” was one of the first tactical transport helicopters developed in the 1940s. Its engine, installed at the front, contributed to stability and manoeuvrability. It entered service at the beginning of the 1950s, served with the US armed forces during the Korean War and gave rise to variants intended, among other tasks, for maritime patrol and medical evacuation.
