HISTORICAL CONTEXT
- From the mid-1930s, Germany promoted the mechanisation of its army through a standard military chassis designed to improve off-road mobility.
- The Wehrmacht used these medium-sized four-wheel-drive vehicles for troop transport, towing and reconnaissance duties.
- The Kfz. 12 built by Horch, which was part of the Auto Union group, stood out for its simple and effective design, as well as its reliability and robustness in service.
