VEHICLE HISTORY
The M6 was developed on the 4x4 chassis of the Dodge WC52, with a light 37 mm anti-tank gun installed at the rear. The United States Army used it from late 1942 in the Mediterranean, European and Pacific theatres. Although it was designed as an anti-tank vehicle, the limited effectiveness of its armament against more modern German tanks led to it also being used to support the infantry.
