VEHICLE HISTORY
- The HEMTT family is a series of heavy-duty, off-road eight-wheel-drive trucks produced for the United States Army since the mid-1980s.
- Its off-road mobility and transport capacity made it an essential vehicle for moving ammunition and equipment.
- In Iraq and Afghanistan, some units were adapted in the field with protective measures and defensive armament for escort and convoy protection missions.
