VEHICLE HISTORY
The M8 Greyhound was developed during the war to provide the United States Army with greater protection and firepower on reconnaissance missions. Armed with a 37 mm gun in a turret, it was first used on the Italian front between Monte Cassino and Anzio, and later took part in the D-Day operations of June 1944. It was also used by other Allied countries.
