HISTORICAL CONTEXT
Italeri’s product sheet places these figures in the context of Stalingrad: in February 1943, the German Sixth Army led by General Von Paulus surrendered. The urban battles in December and January took place in temperatures close to -40 °C, and the Red Army’s winter equipment played a decisive role during the battle.
