HISTORY OF THE AMX GHIBLI
The AMX Ghibli originated from a joint programme involving the Italian and Brazilian aerospace industries during the 1980s. It was designed to replace the Fiat G-91Y aircraft of the Aeronautica Militare Italiana and the MB-326 aircraft used by the Brazilian Air Force. Italeri notes its use in advanced reconnaissance and close tactical support missions in theatres such as Afghanistan and Libya.
