HISTORY OF THE REAL AIRCRAFT
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 was conceived as a single-seat American fighter aircraft capable of operating in all weather conditions and focused on achieving air superiority. The F-15C variant represents a later development of the Eagle and took part in the 1991 Gulf War. It is armed with a 20 mm M61 cannon and can employ air-to-air missiles; its two Pratt & Whitney F100 afterburning engines enable it to reach Mach 2.5.
