HISTORY OF THE EUROFIGHTER TYPHOON
The Eurofighter programme was developed from the second half of the 1980s by a consortium of European companies to create a multirole combat aircraft specialised in interception. The Typhoon combines a delta-wing configuration with canards, two Eurojet EJ200 engines and a fly-by-wire control system. The two-seat versions were developed for advanced pilot training.
