VEHICLE HISTORY
The Bedford QL was developed to provide the British Army with more modern and flexible transport. After testing was completed in 1940, it began to be distributed to units in the first months of 1941 and was used on different fronts during the war. Its four-wheel drive and load capacity supported logistical tasks; it was also used to tow and transport pieces such as the 6-pounder anti-tank gun and the 40 mm Bofors gun.
